The Learning Tree Preschool

Debbie McGahey is the owner, director, and one of the founders of The Learning Tree Preschool which was estabilshed in 1989.  Miss Debbie attended the University of New York at Canton for Early Childhood Education.  She loves teaching young children.  Over 1,600 students have come and gone through The Learning Tree Preschool's doors over the past 30+ years.  She has seen some of her students already graduate from college, and when they see her, they still call her Miss Debbie!  Miss Debbie and husband Gary are originally from Orchard Park, New York, and after living in Richmond and Norfolk, VA, Longwood, FL, and Raleigh, NC, their family moved to Southern Pines in 1987.  Miss Debbie and husband Gary have 4 wonderful children: Mike, Jenny, Kelli, and Molly, and 4 daughter/sons in-law: Melissa, Charlie, Mike, & Matt. They also have 8 grandchildren: Ashlyn, Kathryn, Hailey, Logan, James, Lexie, Kinley, & Crew!
